FIRE DOOR INSPECTION
The SOTERweb Fire Door Inspection module is a comprehensive and intelligent digital solution designed to support the inspection, management, and compliance of fire doors across any estate. Built to align with both the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and BS 8214:2016 (Code of Practice for Fire Door Assemblies), it helps organisations meet their legal duties while promoting best practice and consistency in inspection processes.
The module offers a configurable dataset, including pre-populated stock answers aligned with BS 8214, ensuring that inspections are carried out to a recognised and consistent standard. Accessing individual inspections is simple and flexible, with support for RFID tags and QR codes, enabling assessors or contractors to scan a door on-site and instantly access or update its inspection record.
To ensure consistent and meaningful categorisation, the system uses a unique predictive algorithm to classify each door based on risk and condition. This algorithm is combined with an Assessor moderation function, allowing for professional judgement to be applied while maintaining consistency across inspections and sites.
Inspections are automatically scheduled, ensuring regular checks are carried out. Any remedial actions identified can be logged, tracked, and followed through to completion. A building-specific system-generated report is produced within the module, providing clear oversight and supporting audit readiness.
Third-party access can be granted where required, and all data is captured in real time. Permissions and audit trails are built-in, with actions automatically generated from inspection outcomes. These are supported by automated email notifications, including active links and follow-up reminders, to ensure nothing is overlooked.
